Realme recently organized an exclusive event to unveil its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Realme 12 Pro+. This event took place alongside the CES 2024 and was attended by a select group of journalists. The Realme 12 Pro+ maintains a similar design to its predecessor, featuring a refined faux leather finish and a distinctive central line resembling a zipper. However, the standout feature is the circular camera module, which is larger than the one on the previous model. The camera module is adorned with a unique textured ring, designed by a renowned watchmaker. Overall, the design of the Realme 12 Pro+ draws inspiration from other smartphones in the BBK family, such as OnePlus and OPPO.
The highlight of the presentation was the 64-megapixel zoom camera, powered by the periscope 3x OV64B sensor. This camera module offers advanced features, including an optical stabilizer capable of correcting movement up to 16,000 times per second and a two-axis prism movement system. This innovation promises to enhance the smartphone photography experience, positioning the Realme 12 Pro+ at the forefront of the technological landscape.
However, the crucial aspect of the Realme 12 Pro+ lies in the size of its sensor, an impressive 1/2″, making it the second-largest zoom sensor currently available, only surpassed by another Realme smartphone, the GT5 Pro. It is worth noting that both devices share the same camera module design mentioned earlier.
While some details about the Realme 12 Pro+ are still under wraps, the company has revealed a few intriguing features. The device boasts a robust 5,000mAh battery, and the model tested had a generous 12GB of RAM. The main camera offers a resolution of 50 megapixels, accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and an anti-flickering sensor. On the front, the selfie camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels.
